SolarTime installed our system in August of 2018. We have a 50 year old farmhouse that required a few enhancements to integrate solar energy consumption and utilization. Representatives worked diligently with my husband to identify and resolve all of the issues along the way and have ensured that their system is fully compatible with our old farmhouse. They personalized our unit to match our previous energy consumption, prepared all the necessary paperwork, installed our system in a timely fashion and have been extremely involved in the functionality of their system to date. We are extremely pleased with the customer service we have received from their amazing staff. They are nothing short of amazing. If you are considering solar energy for your home, SolarTime is the company you need!
I am so glad we decided to go solar! Our family has been thinking about it for a while, and honestly i wish we did it sooner, because every time we now pay our solar bill, we are glad it goes towards paying off our system rather than pay to Our utility company. Our bills went from $220 on average to about $20-$30 maximum. The system we installed was 10 kW, and we could not be happier it was solartime who helped us do it. Our representative was very knowledgeable, and Cathy and Martyna helped with permits and our tough HOA. They had to battle them for a while but they were very successful! The installation team did a phenomenal job, install went smooth so did the post inspection. We have enjoyed low bills thanks to solartime and are now recommending them to our coworkers and neighbors! Thanks Solartime, you did an amazing job!!
Jason did a great job communicating the process and the product in terms I could understand. Solartime team took care of getting the HOA approval and helping with the financial process. At the end of installation, their team made sure we had the correct documents to submit for tax purposes. Solartime goes above and beyond to make the process of getting solar so easy.
I cannot say enough positive things about Solartime USA. After years of contemplating a solar system, we finally contacted half a dozen installers that were approved by our electric provider, CoServ. Most of the companies were in the same ballpark with price (although a couple were quite a bit higher). We chose Solartime U.S.A. for their competitive pricing, knowledge of their products, and their no pressure sales approach. Their sales rep worked with us to design a system that was right for our household based on our needs. He answered all of our questions, no matter how technical, and always responded within 24 hours (most of the time within just a couple hours). His answers were informative, concise, and provided as much technical information as the question called for. Once we decided to go with Solartime U.S.A., the install process was painless. All of the contract documents were signed electronically, they handled all the permits, HOA approvals, and city inspections. The system was installed in a single day by a very efficient and careful group of workers. I know our system has been working flawlessly from day one since I’m able to monitor the hourly output through a phone app. The entire process and end result is exactly what we were hoping for.
This is the second time I have used Solartime Solar. The first was for a service/inverter issue the previous installer was incapable of figuring out. The most recent was for an entire array rebuild, (ground mount 20.1kw system), after a wind event torqued and damaged the framework. (Previous installer did a terrible job which contributed to the failure) Solartime designed and built an entirely new frame, painted and much sturdier, as well as fixed mistakes in wiring from the previous company as well. I ended up with a very professional array that will stand the test of time....and wind...
Their staff was polite, knowledgeable, and a joy to work with. I will be using Solartime on all my future solar projects.
Best solar company I've found!
I've researched other solar companies and there's so much shadiness out there with solar. I felt very comfortable price wise and the fact that this is locally owned with full time employees that work closely with one another.
They are very responsive and guide you every step of the way through the process. I plan on getting some more panels installed and then the south side of my roof will be full! It should be a crime to have a roof with no panels lol. It is a great feeling knowing that instead of the utility company taking my money never to be seen from again I can at least invest in panels where eventually I'll just have a low electricity bill and don't need to worry about the coop jacking up the rates.
For those of you considering Solar power, please give Solartime a chance to earn your business. In my case, I had very specific needs in ground mounts. They were the only company that I could find that would do a roof/patio cover and/or raised ground mount project. Very professional and caring from Martyna to Jason the Sales rep and Dora the project manager and the hardworking installers. They listened and designed a system to fit my lifestyle. My electric bill has gone from a few hundred dollars to a negative balance or just a few dollars. Plus, I have a usable space outside. I am so happy, happy, happy!
It's officially been 1 year since I had my solar panels installed. The initial install was a little rocky because the company was so busy with installs. But through it all the folks at Solartime were wonderful. I get excited to receive my energy bill every month so I can see how much I DON'T owe. It's great! What has impressed me the most though, is that this past month when I changed my internet in my home, I completely forgot about the solar needing to have internet access. Within 2 days of the internet change, I received a call from SolarTime asking if everything was OK and letting me know they could no longer monitor my system. WOW! I know they told me they would constantly be monitoring it, but to have them make good on that promise blew me away. Not only that, but one of their employees came out to help me reconnect the solar to the internet since I couldn't remember how to do it myself. That is outstanding Customer Service right there. Going Solar with SOLARTIME USA is Absolutely without a doubt one of the best decisions I have made.
Solartime USA provided me with the best system using the best products for the best price. The best thing about the experience was the customer service. I would definitely recommend consulting with Solartime if you are in the market for solar panels. I have a 7.7kwh system with REC Alpha panels. There is so much information to research and review and Solartime helped me by providing research material, being transparent so I can make the best decision possible. They were upfront with the entire process, I will definitely recommend them to family and friends.
Going solar can seem like a daunting task, there is a lot to learn and that process can seem overwhelming and very confusing. Tackling one subject at a time may help in making the process a little easier, there are experts to talk to that are local to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, such as our amazing techs here at Solartime USA.
We are happy to help you understand solar and go into as much or as little detail as you like. Our passion is to help people learn about solar, regardless what the ultimate decision may be. One of the confusing topics that people run into is the difference between monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels, which one is better, why is one better than the other, what makes them different, does the cost differ? We are going to look at the differences what they mean to you and why you may want to consider the differences, or whether you need to even worry about them.
Monocrystalline solar panels are purer since they are constructed of a single crystalline silicon ingot, meaning each of these cells is made from a single piece of silicon. This manufacturing process makes the panel’s surface have a uniform black look that’s very appealing. These panels perform better in high heat, as well as low light conditions. These characteristics make it a favorite for us here at Solartime USA as we have such high heat conditions in our long summers here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Polycrystalline solar panels are a blend of multiple pieces of silicon, these smaller bits of silicon are molded and treated to create these solar cells. Although this process is less wasteful because hardly any raw materials are thrown away during the manufacturing process, they are slightly less efficient than the monocrystalline panels. The manufacturing process gives these panels their iconic blue color, it also gives them an uneven texture and color.
One of the biggest differences between the two panels is the cost factor – polycrystalline panels are cheaper for the end-user since they cost less to produce and of course because they are less efficient than monocrystalline panels. When you look to purchase a solar system it is good to know the difference between the types of panels available, however, most people worry less about the way panels are manufactured, they worry more about how efficient these panels are and how much the system as a whole will eventually benefit them. It usually comes down to a cost/benefit calculation and how long it will take for the return of your investment; in general, the benefit of installing solar panels starts in month one, since you secure your energy payments from the day the solar panels start producing.
Now that we’ve provided you with an overview of the differences between the mono and polycrystalline solar panels another aspect of the decision-making process may be space limitations, the color of the solar panel, and of course as we mentioned earlier, the climate of the area you live in.
When you try to make decisions regarding components of your solar system it really is a good idea to speak with a specialist you can trust. Our specialists here at Solartime USA pride themselves on giving you honest, straightforward information to help you make the best decision for your situation. We can also help you weigh cost/benefit when trying to decide on which panels to use.
As mentioned, the polycrystalline panel is slightly cheaper which may be appealing at first look. However, our experts can explain the benefit of the monocrystalline panel’s performance in high heat and how that will be more cost-effective in the long run. Our goal is to make sure that you are happy with your decision in the long run, as we consider you part of our Solartime family and our reputation rests on your satisfaction. Our aim is to give help you in the process and not push you in one direction or another. While our systems are usually set up with monocrystalline panels since they have proven efficiency and longevity, we gladly use other panels that suit your needs.
We use all types of quality equipment to create a system that suits your needs. Give us a call today to set up a free, no-obligation consultation at 972-675-7725 or visit us online and request an appointment at www.solartimeusa.com we are happy to help you make going solar an easy process.
