It took a bit of convincing to even look into solar for my wife. I’d had it in California to heat a pool, so I knew what it could do! We love our new electric bills and we love being part of the sustainability movement! Solartime has made us feel like part of their family. Wonderful staff and cake too!

We are very pleased with our solar system. We have over 30 panels and it is working just as quoted. Very pleasant and responsive company to work with. We would recommend them to anyone. Thank you again!

Best Solar company in my opinion. Locally based in NTX. I shopped around with 15 different solar companies and they were the best and I went with them.

PROS:
-Great communication.
-Willing to beat competitions prices.
-Wonderful sales team, treat you as a person and not a dollar sign.
-Present several easy to understand proposals to consider.
-Continue to keep in contact a year after install rather than never hear from them again once you sign the paperwork.
-Incentives to get neighbors and family to sign up are very generous.
-Throws quarterly customer appreciation events like bowling.
-Willing to throw neighborhood parties to get you referrals to help pay off your system quicker.

I haven't had one single negative issue with them to date.

Solar and Solartime USA is a must! I just had panels installed in Jan and haven't had a bill since Feb. I have kept my house during the day at 72 and at night 69-70 degrees. Solartime USA has some great customer service, is like a family and were the only ones when I initially called (several companies) for an estimate that were aware of the Allen restrictions! My electric company charges $24.44 a month for net metering, taxes and fees. I will have a reduced Aug bill but next year, I won't have any more bills since I will have fall-Spring to build up credits! The big thing is to verify with your current electric company (or search for a new one) they will apply 1 for 1 credits on buy back. I peeked (before this summer) about 1200 kWh credits. As I still produce electricity but use more during the summer because of the AC unit, the electric company uses my credits. For my July to Aug bill, I will still have about 350-400 kWh credits which will still offset my Aug-sept bill. As previously stated, next year I will be completely covered since I will be able to build credits during Fall-Spring moving forward.
You want to be somewhat close to zero every year (unless you anticipate using a lot more power in the future). This way you panels are producing enough to sustain you throughout the entire year (bang for your buck: produces enough power but building crazy amounts of credits year after year).
Here's a photo of my panels (Since Allen HAD an ordinance of no street facing panels and I was on the corner of the street, I had Solartime USA also build a pergola on the west side yard to get a few panels there. (you will see it on the top left of the pic).

I am very pleased with the solar panel job done by Solartime USA. I researched 15 companies before choosing them and I am happy I did. Currently I am with Green Mountain energy and getting 1:1 net metering. It’s been 6 months since the instal and I am getting credits to my account every month.

Working with Solartime USA was such a great experience and they did a phenomenal job. I love solar!! Seeing an electric bill in the middle of summer only cost me $13 is beyond my expectations! I used to be $230 or higher.
Thanks again for a job well done!

We have found that Solartime USA personnel are very knowledgeable and great people to work with. Our system was installed about a year ago and generates enough power (kWh) to more than offset the energy consumed by our all electric home of approximately 2,100 sq. ft.. So far, going solar has been a great decision, it is reliable, and well on its way to "more than" returning our investment over a reasonable period of time.

We spent $40,330 on a 15.2 kWp system containing 38 400W Hanwha Q400 silver frame panels, 38 TS4-R-O power optimizers, 2 SMA Sunny Boy SMA inverters, mesh squirrel protection, Solar Sense energy usage and a solar generation monitor. After 26% tax rebate that should work out to $29,844 that I estimate should pay itself off in 7-10yrs. Production guarantee is 21,200 kWh initially and falls off to the manufacturers production warranty of 85% at 25 years. My current yearly usage estimate is ~17,000 kWh, so we are 125% solar for electric (enough excess to support a future electric car for our next vehicle upgrade). One important feature of Solartime production guarantee is extending beyond the 12yr manufacturer's product warranty to 25yr (provided they are still in business). Higher production warranty panels like the smaller 350W LG were more expensive for a 92% production guarantee (compared to 85%), but the geometry of the house did not allow more panels on our maximum efficiency faces of our steep pitch roof (up to 45 deg). The larger 400W panels allowed for a higher production guarantee that was $5,000 less than competitors. My sales rep, Jason, was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond the competitors in providing detailed and timely responses to my technical questions. Dora made sure scheduling and follow-up went smoothly while Martyna followed through with an onsite visit and personal touch. On the installation, Greg, Ziggy, Mo, Joel, and company were professional, flexible, friendly, and had attention to detail in completing everything to my satisfaction as I added a number of modifications throughout the install. Alicia in technical support went above and beyond in responding to my numerous text messages and provided access to more system monitoring for my technical interests which was really helpful in my monitoring the initial installation and working through intermittent panel communication outages as the system synced up with my wifi over the first week. The power optimizers allow single panel control/monitoring on the string inverter to provide benefits similar to micro inverters. While the Solar Sense monitor took a couple of extra visits to get working, that has been an invaluable way to monitor energy usage and solar production in real time (highly recommended). I switched to Green Mountain Energy because of their unlimited one-for-one energy credits with their net-metering, so the excess credits are used to pay for our usage at night and during summer when we consume more than we produce with summer AC. ONCOR came out and set up the net metering after the installation and the final city inspection, and it took about 1 week before the net metering changed from estimated to actual on the numbers reported to GME and SmartMeterTX.com (extremely useful site showing last two years of energy usage and includes solar excess sent back to grid with net metering). The solar business in the Dallas area is competitive and iooks like there are many good options. I've been impressed with Solartime's consistent quality of work and customer-oriented focus and cost-effective solutions with their larger less-expensive QCELL 400W panels, though there is a slight trade off with energy efficiency at the end of 25 yrs with the QCELLs. Solartime's 25yr production warranty is a strong selling point worth comparing to other estimates. Everything is working great, and I recommend adding them to your list of bids if you are installing solar around the Dallas area.

We have been interested in going solar for a while. After meeting the Solartime USA representative at Earth X and upon completing their free estimate, we decided that this company really cares about keeping their customers happy and does a great job as well. We decided to go with them and couldn’t be happier. Any concerns we had they quickly addressed and corrected them to make sure we were fully satisfied. They truly went above and beyond to make sure that we had a great experience. We would recommend them to anyone and really appreciate how easy they made the process! The installation crew was professional and did an outstanding job finishing the project and making it look perfect. Financing was simple and they offer help obtaining but you can definitely come in with your own financing as well. Recommend them 100%!
